Pre-Preparatory School (Fields Froggies)

We believe that a happy child is a successful child . Our play based learning approach provides a safe, developmentally appropriate nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth, as well as a positive self-image, a healthy curiosity and a love of learning. 

 

At Fields Froggies we aim to develop happy children, within a culture of success, ready for the adventure of formal schooling. We have always understood the importance of quality, holistic Early Childhood Development in a child’s life. When the School Governing Body made the decision to build a dedicated Grade RR learning facility in 2019, it was done on the premise that play-based learning, in small classes with qualified teachers, would provide enormous benefits for each and every child.

 

We built our ‘Fields Froggies’ on the premise that learning takes place inside and outside the classroom and made sure our state-of-the-art facility and engaging, experiential curriculum met that criteria. Our daily programme develops emotional growth by embracing creativity, curiosity, perseverance, resilience and compassion; physical confidence by building gross and fine motor skills and communication skills by fostering a love for the English language.

Our focus at Fields College Froggies is learning through play in Grades RR to R. Activities are carefully considered to prepare our learners for the formal learning years. We are proud to host an innovative and refurbished Grade R block that has been developed to unpack learner potential in a variety of perceptual and holistic learning activities. The outdoor playground area is a particularly important component of allowing learners the opportunity for structured and unstructured play and has been designed to develop imaginative as well as physical play.

The Fields family understands that a happy pre-schooler becomes a confident school learner and our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for your child to leap into an authentic love of learning.

Froggies offers aftercare for Grades RR – Grade R for learners in the afternoon where they are lovingly supervised by members of staff.
